Why do pores look enlarged?
Pores look larger for different reasons. Excess oil stretches pore openings; collagen around pores weakens with age and sun exposure, so they sag into an oval shape; and acne can leave pores widened or scarred.
Because the cause differs, so does the right treatment. Mark-Vu imaging maps pore size and distribution alongside texture and redness, which helps your physician see whether the issue is mainly oil, laxity or scarring.

What happens on the day?
After a physician consultation and Mark-Vu imaging, numbing cream is applied for around 30 minutes. The treatment itself typically takes 15–30 minutes, followed by soothing care.

Recovery, aftercare and travel plans
Expect redness and warmth for a day or so; after microneedling or fractional laser there may be pinpoint marks, mild swelling or flaking for several days. Use gentle skincare and daily sunscreen, and avoid saunas, scrubs and retinoids for about a week.
If you are visiting Seoul, have pore treatment early in your stay so you have 3–5 days before flying or important photos. Tell us your dates on WhatsApp and we will plan intensity around them.
Treatment may be postponed with active acne flares or infection, recent sunburn or tanning, pregnancy, or recent isotretinoin use. Your physician will check at consultation.

Pore size is partly genetic, so treatment cannot remove pores. It can make them look noticeably smaller and smoother, and maintenance helps keep the result.
How many pore treatments do I need?
Most people have 3–5 sessions about four weeks apart. Your physician will suggest a number after Mark-Vu imaging.
What is the downtime?
Usually redness for 1–3 days. Stronger laser settings can mean flaking or pinpoint marks for up to about a week.
Can I fly after pore treatment?
Yes, but leave a few days for redness to settle — around 3–5 days is comfortable. We can use lighter settings if your trip is short.
Is it suitable for darker skin tones?
Often, yes, with the right choice of device and settings. Microneedle RF is frequently preferred where pigment risk is a concern; your physician will advise.
