Cosmetic Dermatology in Jongno & Myeongdong Cosmetic dermatology in Seoul, by skin layer.
Cosmetic dermatology at Obliv Seoul Origin in Jongno, central Seoul, brings together lifting (HIFU, RF, microwave), volume (Botox, fillers), collagen boosting (Rejuran, Juvelook, skin boosters), skin renewal and pigment care. A physician diagnoses which skin layer is involved, using Mark-Vu imaging, then chooses the treatment that works at that depth.

Five families of treatment
Each family works at a different depth. Most plans use one or two, chosen after diagnosis.

What is cosmetic dermatology?
Cosmetic dermatology covers medical treatments that improve how skin looks — firmness, contour, texture, tone and radiance — rather than treating disease. It ranges from lasers and energy-based lifting to injectables that relax, fill or rebuild.
At Obliv Seoul Origin it is physician-led throughout: a doctor diagnoses, plans and oversees every treatment, and each one is recorded in the Skin Library so later visits build on earlier ones.
How does a physician choose the right treatment?
We read skin in eight layers — from the surface to the bone. Pigment and texture sit in the epidermis; fine lines and thinning in the dermis; heaviness in the fat; sagging in the SMAS fascia; dynamic lines in the muscle; lost support in deeper structure.
Each family of treatment reaches a particular depth. Matching the two is what we call Skin Architecture, and it is the reason two people with similar-looking concerns may leave with different plans.
- Epidermis — pigment lasers, renewal treatments
- Dermis — collagen injectables, RF, Potenza
- Fat and SMAS fascia — HIFU, microwave
- Muscle — Botox
- Structure — fillers, collagen stimulators
Lifting, volume or collagen — what's the difference?
Lifting uses focused energy to tighten: HIFU heats a focal point to around 65–70°C at depths such as 4.5 mm, while RF warms the dermis to around 65–75°C. Results build over three to six months and typically last ~12–18 months for HIFU and ~6–12 months for RF.
Volume treatments change shape or movement and show quickly. Collagen treatments improve skin quality gradually over weeks, without changing contour. Many plans combine one from each, in an order your physician sets.
Planning treatment around a visit to Seoul
Downtime ranges from almost none (most lifting, Botox, toning) to several days of bumps, swelling or redness (fillers, Rejuran, resurfacing). If you are visiting, telling us your dates lets the physician sequence treatments so you travel comfortably.
The clinic is about five minutes' walk from Jonggak, Jongno 3-ga and Euljiro stations, open seven days. Same-day treatment after consultation is possible depending on availability and physician assessment.
Most treatments are postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection, or after recent strong sun exposure.

Cosmetic Dermatology — asked & answered.
General information only. Your physician will advise on what is right for your skin.
Ask your own questionWhich treatment should I start with?
Usually a consultation with Mark-Vu imaging. The physician identifies which layer is behind your main concern and suggests a starting point — often one treatment, sometimes a short combination.
Can I combine several treatments in one visit?
Often, yes — for example lifting with a skin booster. Some combinations are better spaced apart, and your physician will set the order.
How long do results last?
It depends on the treatment: HIFU lifting typically ~12–18 months, RF ~6–12 months, Botox a few months, and collagen injectables build and are maintained over a course.
What is the downtime?
From almost none to several days. Lifting and toning usually leave mild redness; injectables can leave small bumps or bruises; resurfacing lasers cause redness and peeling for longer.
How close to a flight can I have treatment?
For low-downtime treatments, a day or two is usually fine; for injectables or resurfacing, allow several days. Share your dates on WhatsApp and we will plan around them.
Is the clinic in Gangnam?
No — we are in Jongno, central Seoul, in Pagoda Tower on Cheonggyecheon-ro, a short walk from Insadong and Myeongdong.
