Thermage Eye uses Thermage monopolar radiofrequency with a small dedicated eye tip to tighten the skin of the upper and lower eyelids and around the eyes. Protective eye shields are placed before treatment. It suits crepey lids, mild hooding and fine lines. At Obliv Seoul Origin in Jongno, central Seoul, it is physician-performed.

How does Thermage Eye work?
Eyelid skin is the thinnest on the face, so it shows crepiness and laxity early. Thermage Eye uses a smaller tip designed for this delicate area, delivering monopolar RF that warms the dermis while the tip cools the surface.
The heat contracts existing collagen and prompts new collagen to form over the following months, so lids tend to look smoother and slightly lifted, and fine lines soften.
In our Skin Architecture approach, Thermage Eye addresses the thin dermis of the eyelid. If hooding is caused by a low brow or excess skin, your physician will explain honestly whether a device can help or whether a surgical opinion is more appropriate.
Are the eye shields uncomfortable?
Protective eye shields are an important safety step whenever RF is used directly on the eyelids. Anaesthetic eye drops are applied first, then smooth plastic shields are placed gently under the lids to protect the eyes during treatment.
Most people find this odd rather than painful. The shields are removed as soon as the treatment is finished, and the eyes are rinsed. Contact lenses must be removed beforehand — bring your glasses.
What happens on the day?
You see a physician first to assess your eyelids, brows and skin quality. The procedure itself is short; most of the time is spent on numbing and preparation.

Recovery, aftercare and travel plans
Mild redness and puffiness around the eyes are common for a day or two. Vision can feel slightly blurred for a short time after the shields come out. Avoid rubbing your eyes and leave contact lenses out for the rest of the day.
Many visitors combine Thermage Eye with a face or neck session in one visit. Allow a day or two before photos or a flight if you want any puffiness to settle — the clinic is in Jongno, near Myeongdong and Insadong.
Not suitable during pregnancy, with a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, active eye infection, or within a period after recent eye surgery. Tell your physician about any eye conditions or previous eyelid procedures.

Can I wear contact lenses?
