What does Mark-Vu skin analysis measure?
Mark-Vu captures standardised images of your face under different lighting modes. Each mode highlights something different, so your physician can see patterns that are faint or invisible to the naked eye.
- Pores — size and distribution across the face
- Pigment — surface spots and deeper, less visible pigment
- Wrinkles — fine lines and deeper folds
- Redness — areas of inflammation or visible vessels
- Moisture — how well the skin holds hydration
Imaging informs the decision; it does not make it. Your physician also examines your skin, asks about your history and goals, and assesses deeper layers by touch and movement.
Why does analysis come before any treatment plan?
Two people with the same concern can need different treatments. Dullness might be dehydration, hidden pigment or rough texture; enlarged pores might be oiliness or laxity. Treating the wrong cause wastes time and can make some conditions, like melasma, worse.
In our Skin Architecture approach, every concern is placed at a skin layer — from epidermis to bone — and treated at that depth. Analysis is how we find the layer.
What happens during a skin analysis?
Analysis is the first part of your consultation. You remove make-up, the images are taken in a few minutes, and your physician goes through the results with you in English.

Yes — Mark-Vu imaging is the start of every consultation at Obliv Seoul Origin. Your physician reviews the results with you before any plan is made.
Do I need to remove make-up?
Yes. Make-up and sunscreen affect the images, so you will cleanse beforehand and can reapply afterwards.
Does it hurt or have downtime?
No. It is a photographic assessment with no contact and no downtime.
Can I just have the analysis without treatment?
Many people start with a consultation and imaging, then decide. There is no obligation to have treatment the same day.
Can I have analysis and treatment on the same day?
Often, yes — depending on availability and physician assessment. If your time in Seoul is short, tell us your dates on WhatsApp so we can plan.
